Changing The Culture of Lifting

Maxi Tube Sheet

This device is made of the same material and the Maxi-Slide, but this is a tubular sheet that is 30 inches wide. The providers will utilize the sheet to partially roll the patient onto their side to allow placement of the maxi tube under one shoulder blade, one gluteal prominence, and both feet. Two providers are placed on either side of the patient and with an effort of 80% push and 20% pull, the patient slides over with minimal effort, utilizing a continuous sliding of the opposing sides of the sheet. This device decreases the weight of the patient by 70%.

The Maxi Tube Sheet is best used for patients under 250 lbs on a bed, couch, stairchair or other flat surface, to laterally transfer onto an EMS stretcher and then from stretcher to hospital bed.
